On June 20th, 2012, our planet was struck by a massive solar storm, the scale of which mankind had not encountered since before the advent of public electricity.

Even the most robust systems failed after hours of unending surges. In less than a day, the global infrastructure for power delivery was melted down to slag, and the world went dark.

And from the darkness
came some weird ass shit.

What even is this?
POST CARRINGTON is a cosmic horror developed by Jon Smith, told through a series of interconnected stories. The debut series, Summer Culling, releases its first volume on June 20th and explores but a handful of the impossible nightmares that occurred during the eponymous Carrington Event.
All written works will always and forever be available for free digitally. It was the decision to embrace this impractical ideal that broke the levees of Jon’s mind, and remains the driving force for why he creates.

THE DEBUT NOVEL

SUMMER CULLiNG, VOL. 1
Told through an ever expanding collection of microstories, short stories, novelettes, novellas, and audio dramas, the events of Summer Culling take place between the inciting Carrington Event of 2012 and the days leading up to Spring Peeling.
Though many of the stories are short, punchy horrors, we also get a glimpse into what happens when an entire civilization is suddenly catapulted back to a technological age of which they’d spent the past century and a half growing out of. Blessed Vessel was originally a novelette and part of this collection.
Summer Culling, Volume One, is available now. Jon has a special place in his heart for short fiction, and intends to release at least two more volumes over the course of the Post Carrington Project.
Post Carrington is sponsored by people just like you.
